Hoppy Easter

Hoppy Easter!
Here are a couple of cards
that I made for Easter that
fall under the keep it simple policy.

This is an old image from Imaginations
and it just fits the old Spellbinder Ornament
Die so well (used as a carrot)....
The white on white background was done
using an embossing folder from Provo Craft.

Another old Imaginations image.
The little row of flowers is from
a set by Sparkle N Sprinkle.
The Embossing folder used was
from Sizzix.  A little magic mesh and
some SU punches and Spellbinder dies finish it off.

This darling little image is by Penny Black.
The embossing folder is from SU
and the dies from Spellbinders.
Copics were used on them all.

Thanks for checking in with me.

It's Bloomin' Cactus Time

It's March and in Arizona
that means the cactus are beginning
to bloom.  They're so gorgeous when
blooming - it's a shame that the
blooms don't last long.

The image is a fun cactus
from Whipper Snapper that
I use a lot.  The "mesh" image
was embossed with gold EP
and is an image by Magenta.
I've had them for eons so
they're probably discontinued.

I just love this Judith vase
and the little flowers.
With different colors, it
could also be very Southwest.
I opted to case it from how
Judith had it colored though.

Colored with Copics and
accented with Crystal Accents.

Next time, I'm going for the Southwest look!

Red Hat Lady Post-it Note Holder

I had so much fun making the first
post-it note holder and box set,
that I did another.  This time
I used an old Stampin' Up set
and did it like the Red Hat Ladies.
The boa is done with Sparkle N Soft
from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Thanks for checking in :)

Lollipop Land

Getting ready for my Stampin' Up party
next week.  I needed an idea for
hostess gifts and my friend, Nancy
(also my SU rep) had
made one of these adorable
lollipop bouquets as a door prize
at the last party!
VOILA!!!  There was my idea...

They are so fun and easy to make.
I used small terracotta pots, a small
foam ball inside to hold the lollipop
sticks, some "grass", the SU Posie punch
for the leaves and the SU Sizzix Spiral
Flower die for the flowers.
Add a bag of dum dum lollipops and
they're good to go.

There are several examples you can find
on-line, but the one I looked at didn't
use any kind of adhesive on them.
I opted for some Helmark Craft Glue
just to hold them together better.

I ended up making 21 of these, but gave
my friend, Patti one as part of her
retirement gift.   She loved it.

Here's a close-up of the top.

This one and the one below
are even closer  and
show the pots.

Here are the two basic tools you need.

Hope you enjoyed a visit to lollipop land :)

Sticky Note Holder & Gift Box

This is a fun little gift item
that I saw reposted recently on
Splitcoaststampers.com.

Many of the sticky note holders
are just cardstock and this
takes it a step further as the
"holder" is chipboard.

Here's the link to the tutorial
that I used by Diane Zechman.

When I finished the set, I decided that the
box seemed too empty and it fits two
sticky note holders perfectly  -  so-o-o-o-o
I made another.
The bicycle DP was from 3 Bugs in a Rug - Chloe
and the blue linen fabric looking DP was
from Bo-Bunny Press -
Homespun Collection.
I punched out one of the bikes and
added it to a scalloped circle
along with some rhinestones
(cause a girl just has to have a little bling)
for a little extra interest on the front.

Here's the box and my two sticky note holders.

Here's an inside view of the sticky note holder.

It's a quick and easy little gift idea.

Hope you've enjoyed it.

Yippee - the Pinwheel Album is finally done.

It seemed like a long never ending project,
but I've finished the first pinwheel album.
It was fun and I think perhaps I'll try
another in a while - maybe with
a travel theme since I have another
cruise coming up next month.

Anyway - here are the photos
with the pages and tags
"blinged up".

I used stick on pearls and rhinestones
from Stampin' Up - some jewels from
Bo Bunny, Darice, ZVA Creative along
with some unknowns
that I had in my stash...
I also highlighted some of the
flowers and swirls with a
glittery Gelly Roll pen. (that
part didn't come out well in the photos)

The only thing left to add is photos!
Hope you enjoyed the journey.

Stay tuned..........
